                 Around the late 1990's I was getting the impression that God was wanting me to write a book.
As impossible as this seemed to me to actually accomplish, I really only pondered it.  When the impression became an almost daily taunting as such, I thought about it continually, day after day. It wasn't until the spring of 2002 that I decided to actually try to begin the process of writing what I believed that God had placed in my heart to write about.  I went to K-mart and purchased a binder, some legal pads and some pens and decided that week to park my mail truck under a shade tree, on my lunch break, and begin to write. My first day putting my pen to the paper, I was shocked as I wrote out the title to my book and in a few short moments I had seven subject categories pop into my head just like that, and they splashed onto the paper. From that moment I believe that God had rewarded me for my obedience and my faith began to rise up that He would help me to finish what has been a most heart felt and exciting adventure. By the spring of 2003 I had really just begun to press through some of the things I had started to write. That spring I had a back surgery which had me off work for twelve weeks. This was a great opportunity for me to really write and I took it seriously. By that summer I had a rough bunch of pages of writings that I needed to get onto my computer. At that time my son had a girlfriend that typed for eight hours while I narrated  to her. She was amazingly fast and helped me to get it on my computer so I could continue working on it from their. With some help editing from my son in law, I had found someone to help me get it into print.  My choice to take this direction turned out somewhat sour. Rather than choosing a publisher to do a professional job I erred and did what i felt was best at the time. After the printing work was done and I had realized what mistakes I had made, I soon decided that this was much too important to me to let it continue to become unsuccessful.  Since I had it on my computer I began to read it over and over and realized the work I still had failed to finish on it. Realizing some of my insensitivities concerning a few of my subjects I began to change and edit and add and delete etc. It was exciting to see that what I had seemingly failed at was still alive and at the touch of my fingers through my heart I still had the inspiration to complete the work I had started.
I have had some grief and some questions during this adventure in my  life, and struggled to hold on to the dream I have in my heart. Today I believe the dream is still their and have managed to submit my manuscript to a professional publisher to handle the work I have done.
For many years I have seen the deceptions of some religions and some religious traditions that have had so many millions of people in this world deceived by promoting a false hope of eternal life through the empty traditions they serve. The book that will be coming out in December through Xulon press entitled "Are you Saved or Deceived?" will challenge the religious and non-religious alike to take a close look at the attitude of God toward religion and lead you to a real knowledge concerning your destiny as described in the Bible.
This book is not only for religious types of people but also designed to speak to the baby-boomer generation that grew up in the hippie movement in the 1960's and 70's. It will be a very easy reading book, yet powerful in truth.

Did you ever actually consider why you were created and what your purpose may be?  
If you have been adopted into the family of God, your life guide- the Bible- has a very clear definition of what you are suppose to be. II Cor 5:20 The answer is "Ambassador". That is right!! This is a major part of your destiny, to be a light to those in this dark world to show them the way to access God and help to rescue them from the determination of this world to keep them in darkness. The very thought of the word Ambassador may give you the impression of someone who is foreign with a purpose to reach someone who is uninformed about certain  subjects regarding truths that need to be relayed. As Christians we are foreigners in a foreign land that is not our eternal home. We are commisioned to relay the message of the Kingdom of God in the earth while we are still here.
 By reading my soon to be released book, I  believe you wll get a new motivation to begin to fulfill your destiny in God.

I recently heard a conversation some women were having with a well known talk show host.  The host had a similiar view towards God that many people in the world have, that is that their are many ways to attain a (way) to God. This is a great example how our human way of thinking many times conflicts with the God's thoughts.
John 1:9 speaking of Jesus... "There was the true light which coming into the world enlightens every man. I believe every person living according to this scripture has an encounter with the light of God sent to reveal Himself. I believe that is is up to each one to respond to that light. Of couse their are young children that do not understand the light or may never hear the name of Jesus and for them that is up to a merciful God to determine fairness for those less unfortunate who will never hear the gospel before they die.
John 14:6  Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me."
Regardless of how or what you think about how to access God, you must believe the  words of Jesus, since He was God in the flesh and spoke that which His Father told Him to speak. God has provided the way to Himself. Our part is to accept and believe what He has alrady accomplished for us, and not try to create other ways to access Him which only leads to a dead end.

This week has been an amazing week and still our purpose in the Kingdom of God has not changed, since He still rules in the affairs of mankind regardless of who is in presidential power, and will continue to work through His people to accomplish His purpose in the earth. There is a scripture in Daniel chapter 2:20-21 that the Lord began to bring to my remembrance after the outcome of the election that says," Praise the name of God forever and ever, for He has all wisdom and power. He controls the course of world events; He removes kings and sets up other kings. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the scholars."
I am learning to establish my security according to who God is in my life and in the world and not according to who is reigning as president over our country. As believers in Jesus we should be compelled to pray for the leaders of our nations that God would have His way in the affairs of mankind and that He would influence them to make decisions that would lead to benefiting all of us as citizens of all our great nations.
