Longing for peace... and freedom from destruction?

Do you have the peace of God in your heart today?
If you do not, what is going on in you that is keeping you from breaking down the walls that stand between you.. and the peace of God,  that you know that is somehow attainable?
Before I was saved, there was a longing in my soul for a peace that I was not sure how to achieve. When I put my faith in Jesus Christ, that peace became mine, and then I knew that was the peace I had longed for.
I heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ so many times throughout my years of rebellion. I sometimes wondered why I kept hearing this same message, that God loved me and had a plan for my life. I suppose I had wondered many times that the plan God claimed He had for my life, had to be better than the one I was creating.
His heart is so running after you, even though you are probably running the opposite way, away from Him.
You are not alone in your quest to ignore God and His voice calling you to...come to Him.
The reality about God is that He knows everything about you and sees everything. Though He is not looking at your sin,
only what He accomplished to destroy it's work in your life.
The Bible says that Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil. If their is something to destroy, then their should be something good to result from being free from the destructive schemes of the devil.
The battle is within your heart, but you need His help to win it. You are no match for Satan in your own strength. That is why you need Jesus... in you,  to conquer the forces of darkness that are determined to keep you from achieving the freedom that God has promised through His Son Jesus Christ, by His death on the cross, and resurrection from the dead.
He is real and that His ways are great. You know in your heart God is drawing you close, yet we all seem to have like a built in resistance that makes us want to draw back from Him. However, in the depths of our being we know that we want Him and we need Him. I suppose my question would be, “Why would we want to draw back from a loving God that is trying to help us?”  In the history of God’s dealings with His people, He often referred to them as obstinate or stiff necked. They knew God, yet in that knowing still resisted Him, and instead followed  the passion of the moment that had promises of temporary pleasure.
So much of God’s word speaks of how He desires us to draw near to Him. I encourage you to yield to Him. He is a gentle loving Father, and you will be safe in His love. You can trust Him with your heart. The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the foundation for our present and future hope. What I believed and experienced is proof. He has made Himself available for you to prove Himself strong on your behalf.  Your present condition is His window of opportunity to make you a new creation, useful for His purposes in the earth.
Psalms 46:1 “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
He is the only one in heaven and on earth that can satisfy your heart and life with the help and safety you need.
