Are You Breaking God's Heart?
Everyone that ever lived had a parent, whether you knew them or not. As a child, when you began to mature enough to understand obedience and disobedience, you made choices to obey or disobey. When you disobeyed, your natural parents would discipline you as they seen fit for the moment, according to the offense. As you grew older, perhaps into your teen years you had some times of rebellion,as most of us did, that left your parents heart-broken. If you had lived in some self-destructive rebellion, I am sure that your parents love for you caused them to grieve to the point of frustration that caused them to have feelings of regret that they had even brought you into the world, because of the pain that you had inficted on them through your rebellion.
Though they may have expressed regret, their sorrow was defined by your actions, but not really the feeling that you were just a mistake.
God... is our Father and He has parental feelings, though even greater that a natural parent for his children.
Such as the grief He expressed at the continual wicknedness in the hearts of men before the great flood, in which Noah and his family had built an ark as an act of obedience to God to escape the coming judgement He promised; Genesis Chapter 6
What a heart pondering thought, that God actually said He was sorry He had made man. Not that he regretted creating humanity, but because of the wickedness of the hearts of the ones He created for His purpose. Corrupting themselves by acts of wickedness, living to the full extent of their sinful plearsures, bringing sorrow to His heart.
Are you causing you heavenly Father sorrow through your acts of disobedience, and wickedness of heart?
He will rejoice over you when you walk with Him, keeping the streams of communication flowing daily.
Not allowing the dirty stones of sin to create murky waters between you and Him. I believe God is a God of fairness. He gives us all opportunities to overcome weaknesses, when we truly desire freedom from the things we know we have in our hearts that draw us away fron Him. The Bible says that if we draw close to God, He will respond by drawing close to us.
Resisting evil will produce strength. Running to God, instead of running from Him will establish humility.
This really about living under the authoriy of Jesus.. as your King. A Kingdom not of this world, but an everlasting Kingdom.
Whatever you acomplish in your life by the worlds standards, is only temporary. The things that become established in your heart by the life changing words of God are eternal. This is about ownership. Which Kingdom owns you?
The things of God are supernatural, not to be interpretted with our natural minds, but through the Holy Spirit living within.
You must come out from your human way of reacting with your mind and allow the Holy Spirit to search the deep things of your heart, and begin to respond with your heart so you can go forward in this quest to discover God in the way He would desire for you. He wants you to have the fullness of all He has to offer. Many people in life, even some church people are not willing to give up ownership of their hearts to God.
He will do whatever it takes no matter how long it takes to remove your self sufficiency. Functioning independently of God will only produce frustration. You can be as victorious as you want to be through Him by allowing Him to demonstrate His power in you.
Whe you know God has had sorrow in His heart because of your sins, it should change your behavior.
True remorse and repentance results in a changed heart, therefore a changed life.
Hebrews: 13:15, 16
"Through Him then, let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that give thanks to His name.
And do not neglect doing good and sharing; for with such sacrifices, God is pleased."
Worship your way to freedom from yourself, and begin to see yourself as God sees you, as His child to live for His purposes,
pleasing Him.
