What About This Part-Time Humility?

When you really think about it, this is what most of us have. Our seeking God intensity and coming to Him
on our knees in humility in good times may in fact be a rare occasion.  It is mostly when a real heavy trial comes our way
that we find ourselves in a seeking desperation mode, but only until the smoke clears. then we tend to forget about the Lord,
who brought us out of our times of trouble.
In the book of Numbers, chapter 12, Aaron and Miriam were perhaps becoming jealous of Moses position of authority
and rather than dealing with the real issue, they began to criticize his wife. This made God very angry and defended
His servant Moses by saying that he was the most humble man on the earth. Not only that but He also said that Him and Moses
spoke face to face. God stepped in to his day beacause he was close to God. Moses could of reacted, but he left the issue up to God and trusted Him to deal with the real issue the couple had with Moses. Rather than facing their problem with Moses, they chose to create a diversion from the real issue by introducing a smoke screen and attacked someone elses character. This is what many of us face in life, isn't it?   When someone else has a problem with us, they begin to offer unjustified criticism to divert the attention away from the real issues they are facing.
When we begin to trust God to help us deal with relationships, He has specifc ways to help us come through these types of trial. and uses it as an opportunity to free us from responding as we usually do, with a wall of defense, according to our natural ways of futility,  rather than a spirit of humility, asking God during daily devotion to help us walk by the Spirit.
What was that I heard you say, " You don't have a devotion to God anyway, and how could you follow this example?"
You live in this evil world, don't you? Who else has offered you any real tangible help in the way the God has offered ot help you?
Psalms 46:1 "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in times of trouble."
Is God's Presence in you? Humilty will get you there, Full-time humilty will keep you there.
Have you ever had a bad day and then spent some time reflecting on the way you responded to the adversities that were controlling your day?  Did you respond by cursing and venting anger and then wonder why your heart was in the condition it was in? Perhaps you realize by your responses that the person you have become is not the person that you know you desire to be. Your own heart has left you perplexed for answers that only God can reveal. One of the greatest lessons of humility is to use these situations to realize that He is really the only one that can take your heart and transform it to be adaptable to His plan and to help you become the person that you have been created to be. Calling on the name of the Lord to get Him activated in your life will help you to become the person you know you want to become.
He is the only one in heaven and on earth that can satisfy your heart and life with the help and safety you need.
