Twisted Patterns = Twisted Lives
Unless you are a very young person, you surely remember the old wall phones we all had with the long cords that became
all twisted up after a while with use. Every so often we would get irritated with the cord and disconnect it from the phone
so we could straighten it out. Our efforts to straighten the cord were only temporary until it became raveled up again.
For some of us, this describes our life. when we live to serve the world, and become trapped it's patterns of ungodliness,
our hearts become twisted up in the web of it's deception. No matter how hard we try to unravel the twisted cords of our heart
in our self effort, we still end up twisted again, without resolve.
Walking with God requires a decision to disconnect, or separate from the world system.
A changing of kingdoms, from darkness to light. God's word has many ways of admonishing us to come out from
the worlds midst and be separate, for His purpose. Until the heart gets connected to the power source of
God's Holy Spirit, we will remain twisted up in our sin. This is a battle in our minds, a striving also in the heart that tends to resist the call of God to give up ownership of our hearts to Him, who alone has the power to restore our hearts from the twisted condition we have allowed this world to mold it into.
In order for God to begin a work in your heart, it must begin with a decision by you to change your mind and believe in your heart in the resurrection of Jesus Christ for salvation and then a process of rebirth will begin. Salvation is something that happens to you while you are living. Salvation means to be delivered from your present condition of life aquired by living according to the standards of the flesh and the world apart from God. Some of you have heard this Gospel so many times, yet have hardened your heart to it's truth just to remain in the deceptions of the heart that sins patterns have weaved in your life.
Today... God is desiring to make an entry in His book of life, and add your name to it. Are you happy with the reality that your name is still not there by your own choice?
