When I Was Nothing

Did you ever consider God as someome who is on a pursuit, attempting to capture you?
When we think of pursuit, we may have the idea of a runner reaching toward a goal to accomplish.
II Chronicles 16:9  "For the eyes of the Lord move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those
whose heart is completeyly His." The word here for move refers to something running in pursuit of something or someone.
If God would really run He would shake the Universe. His way of pursuing is with His eyes.
I would strongly desire God's support, since He is king of the universe. It is my portion to keep my heart belonging to Him.
Before I had given my heart to Him I was nothing, void of good character and without meaning. This is how much of the world functions, walking.. but lifeless and void of Godly character.
Without His presence in our hearts we are void of His character and easily deceived by this world's pleasures. No matter how great looking we are, or how prestigious we have become in life, we still need a Savior. Regardless of how poor and destitute we may be, God, in His grace, can restore our hearts back to Him. Long before I said yes to Jesus, he was purposely pursuing me even when I was running the other way, away from Him. I am a living example of how He can change and restore a heart that was self seeking and worthless, back to Him. God alone is the one who makes us worthy of His pursuit when we apply His principles to our hearts and lives. Being capture by God is not a trap, it is your freedom into His marvelous light.
1 Corinthians 1:18 “For the word of the cross is to those who are perishing foolishness, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” You have the decisive power to place yourself in the “saved” category, and join in the millions world wide whom have given their lives for this one called Jesus and have began to live again.  All of us at one time were in the categoryof the unsaved.
This is the word of the cross, to lay down your way of living without Him at the foot of His cross and believe that He has a much deeper plan for you to pursue in this life. Forsake the false perceptions that grip your heart with voices that delude you to feel like
the message of the cross is just a bunch of foolishness. There is no greater joy than to know that you know that He has come to live in you, when you invite Him in. The invitation is still open, as long as you are still breathing.
Whether you believe it or not, your next breath comes from Him.
Are you feeling pursued? God has not given up on you, so you should not consider giving up on yourself.
